Weekly update November 29th, 2020

Hi everyone,

Time for my weekly update..

Monday is a blur.. but no stitching...

Tuesday DH had a doctor appointment.. I stayed home & wrote out Christmas cards.

Wednesday was a trip to the funeral home to pick up Dad's ashes, death certificates, and his flag. Then I had some grocery shopping....and other errands.

Thursday was Thanksgiving... Cooked  for us and Mom. Mom's allergic to turkey so we had a nice roast for dinner. I picked up a small turkey that DH & I will have this evening.

Friday was a day of paperwork.

Finally on Saturday I picked up my needle....as this week I signed up for the 2020 Thanksgiving Stitch a Long at Embroidery.com. (Small designs such as Christmas Ornaments, scissors fobs...etc. that can be finished in 4 days.)

I knew I wouldn't have the full 4 days, but I thought I could make some progress on the weekend.

I finally settled on this project... (I couldn't find my seka's stained glass ornaments that I planned on stitching)

Then life happened..
Dad had a heart attack  around 9pm Wednesday evening ...took medicine.. then next morning around 6am I got a call that he was having trouble breathing so ambulance was on the way to take him to the hospital. With the new rules (only 1 visitor and not until 4pm-7:30)...we stayed at home and waited for updates. They brought Dad to cardiac cath lab from ER & he had another attack during the procedure....they resuscitated him (He was shocked, had CPR & placed on ventilator - Apparently his DNR/DNI was missing). They were unable to finish the procedure. (This heart stoppage reduced his heart function from 40% to 30% and he had additional kidney damage from it as well). The next day he is breathing on his own but ventilator still in place. They tried to remove ventilator.. but he was in distress. Tried again on Saturday to take him off the ventilator.. no luck. Sunday they did remove the ventilator. They discovered that Dad had a lung infection and the next day Pneumonia set in. Dad passed away in the early hours on Tuesday 10th.

October 29th...2.5 hours The Frog 🐸 visited me twice today. I started stitching the vine on top & after half an hour I realized that it was off and the mistake was coming from the leafs where I ended a few days ago. So I frogged and started that over... when I got to my end of my thread, I realized that the right side of my witch hat was off by a stitch...so I frogged and re-stitched that section.
