A Wonderful Exchange

Hello everyone,
Now that our Stitched With Love Exchange  - My Favorite Things Exchange is  over, I can show you the lovely package I received from my talented partner Melissa. She stitched me this gorgeous pillow. What an amazing job!

This is the rest of my fantastic package. She spoiled me with lots of treasures, including these lovely hand dyed threads (ice burg blue and antique blue). I can't wait to try them. I think I have the perfect project picked out for the variegated Ice Burg Blue.

My partner was Christina. I chose to stitch this Blackbird Designs for her, but instead of finishing it as a pincushion, I chose to make it into a stitcher's wallet.

These exchanges are so much fun!

Playing with silks & A HAED update

Hello everyone,
After finishing the stitching for my upcoming patriotic exchange, I dug out a few of my newest hand dyed silks, a mystery piece of 28 ct evenweave (close to DMC 3072), and a freebie pattern called Mini Chocolate Truffle Collection by Kathryn Drummond of Gingerbread Girl Designs. This is what I came up with. It reminds me of a kaleidoscope image. I plan to finish as a pincushion. Colors used are Dragon Opal and Dragon Hoard. I stitched the corner motifs 1 over 1; and the center motif is 1 over 2. Stitch count for each motif is 21 x 21.

And here is an update on HAED SAL SK Forbidden Doorway  - now 5400 stitches completed !

Have a wonderful day.
Lisa
