Hello everyone,
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments - they keep me inspired. I'm still going to try to post once a month - Hopefully I'll be able to.
First, I finished this lovely gem from Mill Hill
Charmed Mitten Ornament
Counted Glass Bead Kits
MHCM10 Sampler © 1998 Mill Hill Designed by Mary Jurgens-Jones
14ct perforated paper
DMC
Mill Hill Beads and Petite Beads
Stitch Count: 32 x 46, varies 2, 3 or 6 over 1
Cross stitch, half cross stitch, and Rhodes Stitches
The next picture says it all. I really shouldn't kit up a project late at night. I was picking out something small to work on at my Dad's multiple Dr. visits - and I wanted to get a few presents done early in the year - so I chose this lovely design from Foxwood Crossings. I couldn't find a few of the called for hand-dyed threads so I took out my DMC Bobbins. Did I mention it was late at night? Anyhow, I grabbed DMC 3760 instead of the called for 3750. I do like the finish.. but I am sure that someday soon I will stitch it again with the called for color. I ordered the sled - am waiting for it to arrive.

A closer look...
I did work on Mystic Garden - just not enough for a picture - maybe next month I'll have more to show.
So, what have I been working on? Well - since I couldn't find my threads, I started to organize some of my stitching supplies - which is very good - but I unearthed so many treasures that I had forgotten about. Can you tell that I didn't start with my threads? Finding some duplicates along the way so I'm thinking about some giveaways in the near future.
New stash? Well I didn't have much time to do any shopping, but I did forget to tell you about a lovely gift I received from DH. He ordered the exclusive five part series from Silver Needle - A little help from my friends stitching circle that was available for a limited time from the Silver Needle. He gave me the first 2 for my December birthday and Christmas - lovely kits from Blackbird Designs and Chessie & Me. Shortly after the new year the next one arrived - Jeanette Douglas Designs! I'm looking forward to the final ones from Shepherd's Bush and Lizzie Kate.
Dad had a good report from his various Drs. We had 4 visits within 10 days - all of his appointments were 90+ miles away (one-way).
Bucky and Samantha are doing well - tomorrow they have their annual visit - lyme vaccination, shots, blood work, etc.
I'll leave you with a visitor earlier this week.
Have a wonderful day!
Until next time - happy stitching!
Lisa M.
Both sweet stitches, despite the color change. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I love the tiny sledges! I must see if I can purchase them here in the UK. Lovely stitching, as always, Lisa.
