Hello everyone,
This week I want to share with you a pretty older freebie that I received with one of my orders. I came across the pattern when I was cleaning up my craft area.
Bunny © 2007 Imaginating, Inc.
Fabric: 28ct Oceantide Lugana by Silkweaver
Threads: DMC
Stitch Count: 26 x 26, 2 over 2
I added Miyuki Delica aqua mist beads #078
This week we had some feathered friends that are a sure sign of spring.
These Red wing blackbirds are very camera shy. We had a large flock show up but every time I reached for the camera they flew away.
We had a small flock of Robins show up, but this was the only one willing to stay put for a photo.
And our common redpolls returned.
We've heard our pheobes singing but have yet to see them. Now all we need is for the snow to slowly melt away.
Have a wonderful day!
Happy Easter ! Happy Spring!

Same pattern - 2 finishes
Hello everyone,
Last post I mentioned a freebie that reminded me of a pet I had when I was young. I'm not sure when this photo was taken, (there is no date on the back of the photo), but if I were to guess, it is probably 4 decades ago.
St. Patrick's Day Cat © Lynn B. freebie available here
Fabric: 32 ct Fairy Dust Belfast (Zweigart)
I wanted to match the fabric for finishing, so I changed the threads to Alizah Black Silk & Carries Creations Silk Irish Kiss
Stitch Count: 27 x 27, 2 over 2
Since I couldn't find my larger needle for french knots, I added Mill Hill Petite Beads for eyes and nose.
I stitched this a second time to make a bookmark, this time using the suggested threads.
St. Patrick's Day Cat © Lynn B.
Fabric: 32 ct Fairy Dust Belfast (Zweigart)
Threads: Suggested colors
Stitch Count: 27 x 27, 2 over 2
I added miyuki delica beads#977 to match the green
And the back
I have to go now - I want to finish another freebie this time it is from Snowflower Diaries - she has some lovely free patterns.
Have a wonderful day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hello everyone,
This week is a freebie that I've had for quite some time - I found the pattern when I was cleaning up some things in my craft area.
A Slice of Blarney © 2003 by Linda Stolz dba Erica Michaels
Fabric: 28ct evenweave scrap Dovestitch unknown color
Threads: GAST Forest Glade
Stitch count 45 x 42, 2 over 2
I also stitched another St. Pat's freebie - found here. I just didn't have enough time to finish it this week - hope to be able to get it finished soon.
I'm stitching more Irish designs this year - Not because DH is Irish- but because the greens remind me of spring- especially after seeing so much nuisance snow this year. The evening news mentioned more snow next week- possibly 12".
Nan from Threadwork Primitives has another lovely freebie. I won't get it stitched in time this year, but I hope to start it soon.
Have a wonderful day!

Bunnies and Birds
Hello Everyone,
Our friend JM is crazy for rabbits so, when I saw this Prairie Schooler freebie, (click the link for this freebie). I knew that I would stitch it for her. I left off the border stitching so that I could finish it in an egg shape. It was a fun stitch.
Bunny © 2012 The Prairie Schooler, Inc
18ct Black Aida
DMC Threads
Stitch Count: 25 x 35, 2 over 1
Yesterday we had a new bird in the yard - a Northern Shrike. He was bouncing around eating the insects that were buzzing around since our temps climbed above 40 degrees F.
Earlier this week we woke up to another snowfall- I think the groundhog was wrong, We still have awhile before spring arrives, but isn't it pretty?
Have a wonderful day!

Wishful Thinking
Hello everyone,
I took a break from my HAED projects last week to stitch a few smalls. We even had perfect weather to get out and pick up a few fabrics for backing these smalls. I think I'll share one each week and that way it won't be so long between my posts.
Most of them were freebies - I was trying to use up some leftover scraps of fabric - and some grab bag fabrics that I had no idea what to use them for.
I wanted to get an outside picture - but it started to flurry - again.
This week's small pillow finish is a freebie from The Stitcherhood. You can get the freebie here.
Spring (Freebie) © The Stitcherhood LLC. 2010
Fabric is 28ct evenweave from dovestitch (Unknown Color)
DMC Threads (Used the suggested colors)
Stitch Count 30 x 66, 2 over 2
I added some opaque pearl butterscotch yellow delica beads to the center of the flowers
Until next time - Have a wonderful day!
